Married Life and Settling In...

Our first month of marriage has been a BLAST!!! We are finally getting into the swing of things. We are both back at work and have been plenty busy. Kris has been scheduling jobs 6 days a week so we are thankful for the Lord's blessing on his business. We are also thankful for his new pressure washer! For those of you who don't know, before we got married, Kris' car got broken into and all of his work equipment was stolen. One of his biggest loves in life was his pressure washer but thankfully we were able to welcome a new pressure washer into our family when we returned from Maui! Each and every night we bring it in the apartment and it sleeps in the middle of our dining room :)

I am back at SCAN Health Plan working full time. Before summer I worked in the Sales Department but I am currently working in the Human Resources Department. It has been fun dipping my feet in a different department within the company. The more experience the better!

At night we both come home and I MAKE dinner! I am learning a lot in the cooking department and it has been so much fun with all of my new cooking machines and utensils! So far, we have only had one meal that we weren't too fond of. I think that is a pretty good track record for a new house wife!

Sunday is our favorite day of the week. We call it "Sunday-Fun Day!" We wake up, go to church, go to lunch, and have some sort of date whether it's playing tennis, renting a movie, or going to the dollar theater (it's a movie theater that plays movies for a buck...what a great deal for newlyweds!) Our Sunday-Fun Day's are a great way to get ready for a busy week ahead.

Well, that's about it for the new family in Fullerton! We will keep you updated! Lots of love from the Cooks! :)

Honeymooners is Maui, Hawaii!!!

Our honeymoon was a BLAST! There is nothing quite like laying next to your new husband by the clear blue waters with perfect weather in Maui!

Everyday we woke up and went straight to the pool or beach. They were right next to each other so we usually went to both everyday. The pool had waterfalls and a water slide so we had fun splashing around in there.

One day we went snorkeling and got to see a lot of cool things. We saw a huge sea turtle, a huge school of fish along with other beautiful fish, and lots of coral! We swam pretty far out and the water was quite choppy! It was a little scary for me but Kris made me press on!...Big surprise!

Most of our days were spent laying by the pool, snorkeling or playing paddle ball (which we set our record of 104 paddles!!!) and at night we went out to dinner...usually in Lahaina town. We went to places like Cheeseburgers in Paradise, Long Boards, Bubba Gump, a Japanese place called Kobe (where they cook the food in front of you), the Fish House, and Maui Tacos. The Long Boards restaurant was actually right outside our hotel. We ended up going there twice since the atmosphere was so fun. It was right outside next to the water and they had live music. You could either sit at a table or make a reservation for these little long board chairs that were placed in sand with a mini table. It was fun kicking off our sandals and putting our toes in the sand while we ate yummy food and drank a lava flow! (Did I mention their crab cake was to die for!!??)

We had the best trip and made lots of memories!!!

Here are some pictures from our honeymoon....Enjoy!
